After seven decades in New York and across Europe—having worked in photography, film directing and production, having written poetry, music and theatre, and having presented his work in photography exhibitions around the world—Pete Marifoglou returns to his birthplace, Thessaloniki.

Marifoglou focuses on analogue black-and-white photography and on people beyond their roles in films. His photographs—documents of both the films themselves and the harsh social and cultural reality of New York—reveal the tenderness of his artistic gaze, free from affectation and glamour.
