Alexandros Plomaritis. Becoming a Ghost

15,00 €

ISBN: 978-618-5426-64-4

Catalogue includes the works from the corresponding exhibition hosted at MOMus–Experimental Center for the Arts.

In the exhibition and the eponymous catalogue Becoming a Ghost, through photographs, videos, and installations, Alexandros Plomaritis explores the performativity of the body as a ghostly entity – a body that exists but is not recognized, that is inhabited but not visible, that is silent yet performs its presence, that does not belong but survives.

Through his performances for the photographic camera, Plomaritis’ body wanders through public and private spaces, appearing at times exposed, at other times assimilated, and at others out of place within the given spatial and social fabric.
