It includes works from the corresponding exhibition hosted at the MOMus-Museum of Modern Art-Costakis Collection (formerly: State Museum of Contemporary Art). The second major exhibition of Russian avant-garde works was inaugurated by the State Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki on 22 December 2002. The theme of the exhibition was the development of the abstraction and constructivism movements in Russia and the Soviet Union, which emerged from the post-Cubist experimentation of Russian artists and the original work of Vladimir Tatlin. Important works by Vladimir Tatlin were presented, as well as a large number of works by artists who worked alongside him: Aleksandr Rodchenko, Liubov Popova, Varvara Stepanova, Karel Ioganson, Gustav Klucis, El Lissitzky, Konstantin Medunetsky, Georgi and Vladimir Stenberg and others. The works originated from the collection of the State Museum of Contemporary Art, but also from important American, British and German public and private collections. The exhibition was also host to special reproductions \/ copies of reliefs, sculptures and constructions by Tatlin and other artists made by sculptors Martyn Chalk and Kyriakos Kambadakis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1816,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"product_brand":[],"product_cat":[189,37],"product_tag":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-2526","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-modern-art-publications","7":"product_cat-publications","9":"first","10":"instock","11":"purchasable","12":"product-type-simple"},"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/2526","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1816"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2526"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product_brand","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand?post=2526"},{"taxonomy":"product_cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat?post=2526"},{"taxonomy":"product_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shop.momus.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_tag?post=2526"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
