Catalogue of the exhibition of the same name. It includes works from the corresponding exhibition hosted at the MOMus-Experimental Center for the Arts (formerly: Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki). Using a variety of mediums, such as painting, installations, photographs, screen printing, anthropomorphic porcelain, and embroidery, Ira Waldron addresses in a radical way and with dark humour social, political, religious and sexual issues that transcend the boundaries of conventions and prejudices. The relationship between text and image in Waldron\u2019s work is complementary and absolutely necessary, as she does not acknowledge any dividing lines in terms of methods of approach. Ira Waldron chooses error, imperfection and weakness as tools for an anthropocentric interpretation pursued through play, which in the hands of adults turns innocence into anguish, mischief into punishment, sexuality into repression.
