It includes works from the corresponding exhibition hosted at the MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona. Both sculpture as an art form and a myth\/oral tradition serve as a common basis and creative starting point for the personal, particular, sensitive and, at the same time, dynamic artistic gestures of 14 contemporary women artists. The main pillar of the exhibition\u2019s research is the work of psychoanalyst and activist Clarissa Pinkola Est\u00e9s, more specifically her book “Women Who Run with the Wolves”. Of the intuitive, exploratory and cathartic myths related to the indomitable nature of women illustrated in this book, this exhibition focuses on the one about the Skeleton Woman, the best-known story from Inuit oral tradition. According to the myth, a woman who experiences utter despair and lives as a monstrous creature underwater, manages to keep the essence of her existence intact and eventually regenerate through the power of transformation.
